07/05/2010 - Boston, MA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Boston Bruins announced the signings of defenseman Nathan McIver to a two-year contract and goaltender Nolan Schaefer to a one-year contract on Monday.
McIver, 25, had a goal and four assists with 109 penalty minutes in 44 games for the AHL's Manitoba Moose last season. He has skated in 36 career NHL games over parts of three seasons for Anaheim and Vancouver during which time he totaled one assist and a minus-nine rating.
The 30-year-old Schaefer spent last season with HC CSKA Moscow of the Kontinental Hockey League. In 22 appearances for Moscow, he went 6-10-1 with a 2.66 goals against average. He appeared in seven games for the Sharks during the 2005-06 seasons and was 5-1-0 with a shutout and 1.88 GAA.

And it is likely they will do so. The Bengals lost in the AFC Wild Card spot in a hard-fought battle against the New York Jets last season. Lest not forget the Pittsburgh Steelers, the XLII Super Bowl Champions… All these teams present interesting odds and matchups for the upcoming season, but the safest and surest bet seems to be with the Colts in the AFC South and the Cowboys in the NFC East.
